Daytona Lagoon Makes List of Top Five Best Waterparks in Florida

West Orlando News

As the summer season comes to an end, Daytona Lagoon has made a list of the best waterparks in the state of Florida. The ranking factored in affordable water park options.

“We are thrilled to be recognized as a top Florida waterpark,” explained Tyler Currie, Daytona Lagoon general manager. “In addition to being an affordable waterpark offering a good value, we have lots of fun to offer, with five exciting waterslides, a large wave pool, lazy river and a newly refreshed kids play area. There’s the fun park, too, with go-karts, the MEGA arcade, miniature golf and more.  We also provide discounts and incentives throughout the summer.”

Daytona Lagoon is included in HomeToGo’s 2022 list of the Best Waterparks to visit in Florida. The ranking is based on the cost of a one-day ticket, locker rental, parking and nearby accommodations. HomeToGo is a marketplace that provides a large selection of vacation rentals online and lists prices from partners such as Booking.com, Vrbo and TripAdvisor.

The report, released in July, ranked the top nine most affordable waterparks in Florida, and features their ticket price, parking fee, locker fee, and nearby accommodations for potential guests to consider. Daytona Lagoon came fourth on the list. Florida has more waterparks than any other U.S. state.

With Daytona Lagoon being located across from the Atlantic Ocean, Daytona Beach Bandshell, the beach and boardwalk, this provides visitors with an affordable, action-packed water-filled vacation. For visitors located in surrounding areas, it is the perfect, cost-friendly day trip.

On August 1st, Daytona Lagoon started offering for the first time an “end of summer” season pass for only $49.99. It is available for a very limited time, the deal ends on August 11th. These passholders will be able to enjoy the remaining waterpark season for a fraction of the cost.
